MIIS Trivia Night hosted by the Sustainability Council

The MIIS Sustainability Council, in association with Fieldwork Brewing, and Real Good Fish Inc., are hosting trivia night (like last year’s hit event), and will be giving students and members of the community a chance to test their intellect on environmental issues. Winning teams will receive a gift card, and Real Good Fish will be providing delicious fish taco’s (from a sustainable source) while Fieldwork Brewing provides libations to attendees. The event will last from 7PM to about 930PM.

LIFE IN STONE - Live Sculpting Event, food and storytelling with Zimbabwean artist, Moses Nyanhongo

Middlebury Institute of International Studies’ Committee on Art in Public Places (CAPP) in partnership with Gallery Sur invites students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the Monterey community to meet Shona stone sculptor Moses Nyanhongo from Zimbabwe for a free outdoor sculpting demonstration at the Holland Student Center on the Middlebury Institute campus from 5-7 PM, September 26, 2019. The event will be repeated at Gallery Sur Carmel from 11-3 on Sunday, September 29. Light refreshments and Zimbabwean hospitality will be enjoyed at both locations.

Graduating Student Information Meeting

Any student planning on graduating in the winter should attend this meeting. Details and information surrounding the December commencement will be presented, and graduating student speaker nominees will be presenting summaries of their speeches. A free raffle for used gowns donated by previous graduates will take place at the meeting.

Earth Festival

Join the MIIS community in kicking off a month of celebrating sustainable living at our Earth Festival event on Thursday, April 4th from 12:00-2:00 pm. We will be showcasing the community’s efforts to promote environmental awareness through interactive and educational activities. This outreach will include student clubs, environmental organizations, the MIIS library, Our Green Thumb Garden, music, and other demonstrations. Your involvement will be a great contribution to this event.
