Middlebury Museum Studies in Oxford Info Session

Live in the heart of Oxford this summer! Middlebury Museum Studies in Oxford features two courses, an intensive week of experiential learning at an 18th century estate, and special tours of Oxford archives, collections, and historic properties and museums all over Southern England. The courses are taught by experts in art history, architectural history, and museum studies, and will introduce the structure, management, and activities of museums and the British approach to historic preservation.

How AI and Deepfakes Will Amplify Terrorist Propaganda

Artificial Intelligence (AI) develops much faster than policy and law enforcement can manage, and so revolutions in this technology often open the door to weaponization and abuse. The Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism (CTEC) is investigating one such revolution—“Deepfakes for text” or neural language models designed specifically for language generation—in order to better understand its implications in the hands of nonstate, nefarious actors.
