The Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs program on Global Health presents “Health, Security and Diplomacy in 2025” with Ambassador Jimmy Kolker.
Ambassador Jimmy Kolker has for the past two decades been at the center of U.S. and multilateral diplomatic efforts to advance public health goals. He will present some examples from his experience with AIDS, Ebola, Zika and Covid of the intersection of medical science and global diplomatic challenges. This perspective can help identify the changes that U.S. global health programs are undergoing, give context to the new State Department “America First Health Strategy” and assess the impact and potential impact of a new approach to health security.
