Conversations on Recovery and Addiction - dinner and panel discussion

What is Recovery? Hear from people with lived experiences and share a meal together. Learn how you can play a role in creating a community to destigmatize addiction and support recovery. Co-curated by Global Health Program, Health and Wellness Education, and Turning Point of Addison County. Mad Taco dinner provided. T-shirt Decorating for The Clothesline Project

Come create art on T-shirts to be displayed as part of the Clothesline Project, an awareness raising art installation focused on sharing experiences of people who affected power based personal violence. T-shirts will be added to Middlebury’s collection and displayed as part of an art installation in Johnson later in April.

Clothesline Project reception and panel discussion

In collaboration with Atria Collective, Middlebury College is hosting the 2025 local installation of the Clothesline Project.  Following t-shirt painting events, the clothes and their anti-violence messages will be on display in the Johnson building from April 22-28.  On Thursday evening, April 24, please join us in celebrating the work at a 6:00 pm reception followed by a 7:00 pm panel discussion with Atria Collective staff and MiddSafe student advocates.  April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

These back-to-back events will consist of an info session (at 4:30) for students interested in the Global Health minor followed by a social event (at 5:30) for current Global Health minors, interested students, and faculty. We will have snacks at the social as well as an opportunity to win a gift certificate to Taste of India. Hope you can make it!
