Join CNS Scientist-in-Residence Dr. Ferenc Dalnoki-Veress to learn more about how you can apply your science expertise to the field of WMD nonproliferation. He was a member of the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory team awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics. At CNS, he focuses on the proliferation of fissile materials, nuclear spent fuel management, emerging technologies, and verification of nuclear weapons.

At this event, Dr. Dalnoki-Veress will explain why study away at MIIS makes sense for students in STEM fields. He’ll also outline careers that are open to scientists and technical experts with nonproliferation and terrorism studies training. Along with colleagues, he’ll provide details on how studying away would make you eligible for a shortened NPTS Master’s degree.

All Middlebury students, regardless of year or major, are invited to attend this session. Students studying subjects as diverse as the social sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science, geology, geography, foreign languages, and flm and media studies all possess skills applicable to nonproliferation and terrorism studies. For more information, or if you are unable to attend this event, please contact Jessica Varnum via email at jvarnum@miis.edu.
