Emerge Vermont Workshop: Women in Politics

Emerge Vermont is the premier training program for Democratic women interested in running for office. Emerge recruits, trains, and inspires women to run for office, and creates a powerful network to support them in their efforts. Founded in 2013 by former Governor Madeleine Kunin and a group of women in politics, Emerge Vermont has trained over 50 women to run for office. The organization is part of a national network with affiliates in 17 states that have trained over 2,000 women to run for office. Emerge women are members of Congress, mayors, governors, state legislators, city councilors, and school board members.
