Join the Institute Fellowships Team to discuss the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS)! This fellowship opportunity is a fully funded summer intensive overseas language and cultural immersion program to increase language capacity in 13 languages deemed critical by the U.S. government. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals and currently enrolled at a U.S. university. CLS supported languages include: Arabic, Azerbaijani, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, and Urdu.

In the modern workplace, we often emphasize the importance of evidence-based decision making. As a global professional, you may be asked to collect, analyze, and present primary and secondary data to decision makers and influencers. It’s important to convey information in a manner that is easily understandable to your audience. Your data should tell a story that engages your audience and urges them to action. In this workshop, we will define what we mean by data visualization, look at examples of effective and less effective visualizations, and walk through some easy steps to create your own.
