Asian Students in Action (ASIA)

Join Korean American Students Association (KASA), Hindu Student Association (HSA), Middlebury Asian Students Organization (MASO), and Chinese Club as they host their second Spring BBQ! There will be free food, ranging from grilled Korean BBQ to catered Indian food!

Annual Spring BBQ hosted by Japanese Club, MASO, KASA, and the Hindu Student Association! Come for food and entertainment! RAIN DATE: SUNDAY MAY 12!

Bring your blankets and slippers for a movie date with ASIA. We will be watching Pixar’s Turning Red along with munching on some classic movie snacks.

Dim Sum is a range of small Chinese dishes that are traditionally enjoyed at tea houses for brunch. Dim Sum means “to touch the heart” in Chinese. It describes people sharing a pot of tea while eating little comforting dishes. Originating in the Canton region, this course was created in order to satisfy the traders and travellers who would stop for rest and business. More than just food, dim sum needs to be enjoyed with good company and good conversation.

We plan to make pineapple buns in the first of our six part dim sum making series.

Kpop Dance Practice

Have you been dying for more K-pop since the ISO show? Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. We’ll have performances of several K-pop groups, including Girls Generation, BTS, and Big Bang. There will also be performances of traditional music and noraebang style singing. Bring yourself, your friends, and your energy—we’ll provide the fun (and the glowsticks)!

Join us in the Anderson Freeman Resource Center at 9PM as we explore Asian identity through the powerful medium of storytelling featuring Asian students on campus. Sushi and refreshments will be provided!
