Information Session: Tuck Business Bridge Program

GET A JUMP START ON YOUR CAREER WITH THE TUCK BUSINESS BRIDGE PROGRAM! The Bridge Program is an intense four-week summer experience located at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. This total immersion program is designed to give top liberal arts and science undergrads practical, marketable business skills – particularly relevant in today’s job market. Bridge topics range from managerial economics to marketing, strategy, finance and accounting, and are taught by the same faculty who have made the Tuck School one of the top business schools in the world.

Come hear from a Diplomat in Residence based in the Boston area about internship, job and fellowship opportunities. Jon Danilowicz is really interested in Midd students, and actually knows Prof Jeff Lunstead, our own Diplomat in Residence on campus. Jon has served most recently in Peshawar, Pakistan and also Dhaka, Bangladesh; Islamabad, Pakistan; Panama City, Panama; Maputo, Mozambique; Harare, Zimbabwe and Washington, DC.

Information Session: Simply Smiles Inc.

A presentation about Simply Smiles, a non-profit organization that works to build bright futures for impoverished children, their families, and their communities on the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota. Samantha Steinmetz, Simply Smiles Volunteer Coordinator, will present about the dignity-first approach to charity, the organization’s work with the Native community, and summer volunteer and internship opportunities on the Reservation.

Information Session: Peace Corps

Peace Corps offers many exciting programs in Education, Urban Youth Development, Health, Agriculture/Environment, Business, Information Technology and Community Development in 74 different countries around the world. Peace Corps has also established partnerships with colleges and universities, including the Monterey Institute of International Studies, across the United States that offer academic credit and financial incentives to Volunteers during or after Peace Corps service.

Information Session: Overland Summers

Where Will You Lead? This summer join a dynamic, accomplished and charismatic group of leaders who help kids see the world and all of its beauty and promise. Overland hires exceptional college students and recent graduates to lead summer programs across the country and around the world. Our staff of nearly 200 leaders and support staff spend ten days training and six weeks leading or supporting programs throughout the summer. Small groups, carefully crafted programs and inspiring leadership have been at the heart of what we do for the past 32 years.

Class of 1990 alum, Chris Bernene, will be on campus to talk about career opportunities with his firm and their plans for fall recruiting. Chris is a partner in their Health and Life Sciences practice and majored in English at Middlebury.
