Students from the Privilege & Poverty summer internship cohorts will discuss their experiences working with community organizations to address the causes and consequences of economic inequality in Addison County and beyond. We will discuss how their academics prepared them for their community-based work, and how they are integrating what they learned in community back into their academic inquiry. This is a Fall Family Weekend event.

Come visit our research center and museum! Middlebury students are creating an immersive community outreach and engagement experience for Vermonters of all ages who love learning about wildlife and the world of Pokémon. Visitors can touch specimens, ask questions, and collect prizes through speaking with student experts on insects, mammals, and more. Costumes are welcome - we’ll be dressed up too!

- Build connections and share learning among students, educators, and community partners;
- Explore mindfulness as a skill for connecting with others across difference and transforming society.

Responding to Conflict as Engaging in Community

Join us for a Privilege and Poverty pasta night at the CCE. Whether you are from a past P&P cohort, or are looking forward to your experience this summer, we’d love to see you all. We’ll enjoy conversations about your P&P experiences or questions over the delicious dishes. There will be several options of noodles, sauces, and toppings.

The week of April 23rd is Severe Weather Awareness Week at the National Weather Service in Burlington. When severe weather events occur the National Weather Service snaps into action issuing various advisories, watches, warnings, and providing guidance to communities with the mission to protect people and property. Join us to learn more about severe weather hazards in Vermont with Patrick Wickstrom.
