This is your chance to get involved…Meet representatives from over 50 non-profit organizations and student service groups to learn how you can get involved with our local community and our wider world. The MiddAction Fair will provide you with the opportunity to engage directly in local activism, volunteering, social justice, and service-learning activities in areas such as education, literacy, youth mentoring, environment, emergency services, public health, poverty, hunger, housing, and much more. Welcome to the Middlebury Science Cafe! Join us on the second Thursday of the month at Lost Monarch to chat about how science intersects with our daily lives in Vermont. Doors will open at 5:00 so there is time to grab a delicious coffee or tea from Matt. The talk starts at 5:30 pm.

Molly is a chemist and Eric is a biologist at Middlebury College. They have been working together this year to study road salt’s effects on our waterways. Join us on Thursday to learn about how the project is going and meet some of the bugs that make it possible!

This event will bring the community together in food and fellowship to celebrate Black culture, learn about various civil rights heroes, and engage in conversation. Esther Charlestin, the Dean of Climate and Culture at Middlebury Union Middle School, will provide the keynote conversation.

Join the Privilege and Poverty program for a night of pizza and conversation! If you are a former Privilege and Poverty intern, part of the academic cluster, a recent applicant, or interested in learning more about the program, come to the Center for Community Engagement to create and eat your own pizzas, and destress before finals season.

Cook and Chat: Poverty and Food Security in Addison County

Join the Privilege and Poverty Summer 2022 interns as they lead an evening of cooking and conversations on food insecurity and poverty in Addison County. We will cook dinner together using ingredients from different grocery stores/food sources with varying levels of economic accessibility at the Center for Community Engagement. Over our group meal, we will discuss questions like:
