Join Professor Small as he provides a brief description of the Mirror Gap Analysis (“MGA”) project, how it evolved from an effort by MIIS graduate students to support a study undertaken by the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation (“GATF”) to an ongoing and more formal program (with internships) to provide data and preliminary analyses to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) Homeland Security Investigations (“HIS”) National Targeting Center – Investigations (“NTC-I”) Trade Transparency Unit (“TTU”).

The CENTRA team will discuss the world of government contracting, what life as a contractor is like, and how CENTRA has found success in that market. We will talk about who our division (Homeland Security and Risk Assessment) supports, what services we offer, and field questions from the students on those topics. We will also open the floor to questions and discussion around what your students want to know about contracting, DHS/DOD, CENTRA, and/or generally being a candidate in this unique (and often quirky) workplace.
