Digital Learning and Inquiry - MIIS

As of July 1st, Canvas is officially live for the MIIS community! Faculty can now create Canvas resources for the fall 2016 term using the Course Hub. Canvas sites created via the Course Hub will sync student enrollment just like it does for Moodle. This training session will help you get started in Canvas and is based on the Canvas Canvas curriculum. It will give you a step-by-step tour of the learning management features and show you how to use it to your best advantage. We hope you’ll join us!

DLC sponsored workshop going over the basics and best practices of Camtasia, a great software tool facilitating the creation of instructional videos, presentations, and other projects requiring screen and audio capture.

Following up on last semester’s pilot of Canvas LMS, join us for a brownbag with pilot faculty to debrief on teaching and learning with Canvas. Participation is open to the MIIS community - this is an opportunity for you to join the Canvas conversation and benefit from lessons learned as we look forward.

Join photographer Oliver Klink, painter Jennifer Koney, and climate activist Claudia McDonaugh for a presentation on the photography exhibit “55 Inches” currently hanging in the McCone atrium. Through the abstract paintings of Jennifer Koney and the lens of photographer Oliver Klink, the exhibit explores the concept of sea level rise, how this happens and what it looks like. Koney and Klink aim to educate and inspire change through their paintings and photographs.
