Join the Outdoor Recreation Club for one last get together! If you went on an ODRC trip this year, were on the email list, or just want to learn more about how you can be a part of the club next year, we’d love to see you at this meeting. We will be be discussing potential summer activities, promoting future club leadership opportunities, and getting feedback from the MIIS community about your vision for the ODRC next year. Plus, there will be pizza (including gluten-free and dairy-free options)!

Come hang out and discuss major world issues in Spanish with natives and students. Professors and MIIS students from diverse programs will get together in a relaxed environment to talk about everything from Fair Trade to environmental sustainability to migration. There will be a topic of discussion that changes each week accompanied by a speaker who will facilitate the conversation. Teachers will be there to provide real world examples and give their points of view to enrich the conversation.

Saturday, 12/2 8AM-8PM Cost: $10 A medium-intensity day hike (approx 9.5 miles) throughout this beautiful park in the Salinas Valley. We will be kayaking for the afternoon at Elkhorn Slough in Moss Landing. We are exploring the possibility of taking a guided tour with a wildlife specialist.

Join the ODRC for a weekend in Yosemite National Park! We’ll be staying at the Hogdon Meadow campground and driving into Yosemite Valley to hike and explore during the day. Trip fees include transportation, National Park entrance fee, campground accommodations, gear, 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts.

Enjoy a casual ride on the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail. We’ll meet on campus, then ride as a group to Lovers’ Point in Pacific Grove. ODRC will not be providing bike rentals, but we can provide suggestions of nearby bike rental locations and are currently working on establishing discounted MIIS prices. More information to come!
