Formed at The Juilliard School and praised for their “light-handed authority” and “magnificently executed” performances, Toomai has captivated audiences nationwide, including performances at Carnegie Hall and family-friendly performances blending world-class artistry with interactive programming for all ages. Don’t miss this chance to experience selections from their celebrated Cuban and Brazilian albums Cuerdas Cubanas and Passos Brasileiros.

Presented in partnership with the Middlebury Spanish School, this performance is free and will be presented entirely en Español. We kindly ask attendees to avoid speaking English near Spanish School students to the best of their ability.

Sarazino is the brainchild of Lamine Fellah, a musician, songwriter and producer whose nomadic life is reflected in the multicultural influences in his songs. Chicha Libre - Concert (standing room only)

Chicha Libre plays a mixture of Latin rhythms, surf, and psychedelic pop inspired by Peruvian music from Lima and the Amazon. This band from Brooklyn includes French, American, Venezuelan, and Mexican musicians who mix up covers of Peruvian Chicha with original compositions in French, Spanish, and English; re-interpretations of 70’s pop classics; and cumbia versions of pieces by the likes of Satie, Love, and Wagner. Chicha Libre has performed in Turkey, the United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, the U.S., Canada, and Peru.
