Swing Dancing Club

Join the Middlebury Swing Club for a social dance to the tunes of 4:30 Jazz, a top-notch Middlebury student jazz combo with a high-energy, swing sound that you can’t fight! The dance is 10:00pm-12:00am and open to the community. Never danced? Come at 9:30 for a quick introductory swing lesson before the dance. We’ll have you dancing in no time!

Come step-step-triple-step at the end of semester swing dance! The dance is open to all students, so pull out your dancing shoes.

The Middlebury Swing Club will be hosting Scott Chilstedt, founder of Burlington Westie Swing, for an afternoon west coast swing workshop followed by a dance in the evening. West Coast Swing (WCS) is a partner dance that is a distant cousin of Lindy Hop. It’s smooth, sassy, and can be danced to modern music as well as more classic blues and swing. Swing alum Eleni Polychroniadou will be teaching a lesson for us! Eleni swing danced throughout her time at Middlebury and is currently a member of the swing performance team Big Apple Lindy Hoppers in NYC. Definitely come by and learn some new moves with her!
