Undergraduate Research

We invite all members of the Middlebury College community, guests, and members of the public as we celebrate the academic and creative endeavors of Middlebury students. Friday will feature oral presentations, poster presentations and displays throughout the day in McCardell Bicentennial Hall. Student presenters include all four classes at Middlebury and all fields of academic scholarship.

The deadline for preliminary applications is April 15, 2020 so join Dean Lisa Gates for a discussion of why these two opportunities are so coveted and how to get started applying. Learn about fellowships with late fall/winter deadlines: Beinecke, Critical Language Scholarship (CLS), Goldwater, Hollings, PPIA, Rangel Summer Program, Truman, Udall and more. Most of these are only open to sophomores and juniors—but a few (like CLS!) are also open to first-years and seniors. Join two-time CLS participant Mahli Knutson ‘20, Dean Lisa Gates (and hopefully some other CLS participants!) to learn more about the Critical Language Scholarship program.
