Indigenous Peoples Day Screening

Please join Voices of Indigenous Peoples (V.I.P.) for our annual Indigenous Peoples Day screening, in collaboration with the Anthropology Department. We will watch the first part of the documentary series “Lost Women of Alaska,” enjoy snacks, and hold a discussion at the end. We would love to see our Indigenous affiliating students and allies there!

MiddCAT Table "The Roots of Change: Rethinking Indigeneity at Middlebury College," Margaret Jacobs' solo art exhibition

Join MiddCAT from 5-7 on October 8th in Johnson for a workshop in conjunction with the opening for “The Roots of Change: Rethinking Indigeneity at Middlebury College,” a solo art exhibition by Margaret Jacobs. Inspired by the transformative themes in Jacobs’ work, we will be creating paper and pipe cleaner flowers out of repurposed materials. This event is part of a larger effort to gather community to recognize and celebrate Indigeneity at Middlebury, and will feature several clubs coming together to host their own workshops during the opening.

Dartmouth Powwow 2025

Voices of Indigenous Peoples (VIP) is excited to invite you to join us for the 53rd Annual Dartmouth College Powwow on May 10th, 2023.
The powwow will take place from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and we will be departing from campus around 10:00 am, traveling by school vans and personal cars, and returning by 6:30 pm. Native and non-Native students are warmly encouraged to participate!
In Indigenous cultures across Turtle Island (North America), powwows are large contemporary traditional gatherings organized around dance, song, ceremony, and feast.
