Join J Street U for a screening of 5 Broken Cameras followed by a discussion (with free pizza!) This film is “an extraordinary work of both cinematic and political activism…a deeply personal, first-hand account of non-violent resistance in Bil’in, a West Bank village threatened by encroaching Israeli settlements.” This documentary, shot by Palestinian farmer Emad Burnat, gives one personal story of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the violent destruction and political turmoil Burnat witnessed through his cameras, five of which were broken over his years of filming.

Nine Midd students just returned from a three day conference in DC for J Street, a political organization dedicated to a two state solution in Israel and Palestine. Join them for a panel and conversation on what they learned at the conference, as well as their plans to participate in the national student campaign called Stop Demolitions Build Peace, which aims to build coalitions to speak out against demolitions of villages in Area C of the West Bank.
