Dear Students-
I hope the first week of classes is off to a successful start, though I acknowledge the difficult circumstances. As Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Institute Jeff Dayton-Johnson and Vice President of Student Affairs Smita Ruzicka mentioned in their August 28 email Student Follow-Up to Today’s Announcement, I will be hosting a series of drop-in Q&A sessions on Zoom in the coming days. These sessions will provide opportunities for you to ask questions of administrators and student services leaders about what to expect this semester and beyond. Our goal is to ensure you have all the information needed to plan for the completion of your graduate studies.
When: Thursday, September 4 from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 11 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. and Monday, September 15 from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Where: Zoom. Registration links are below. During registration we will ask you to share your questions. We understand that your questions may change between registration and each session, but by sharing as much as possible you will help us better prepare for these conversations.
What to expect: General student services and academic questions are welcome at any session. In addition, colleagues with specific areas of expertise will join each session (see below) to provide more detailed answers where helpful:

Thursday, September 4th: We will be joined by Associate Dean of Academic Operations Toni Thomas to answer your academic questions and Assistant Director of International Student and Scholar Services Tabitha Fleming to address questions pertaining to international students. Register for this session.

Thursday, September 11th: Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Institute Jeff Dayton-Johnson will join us. Associate Dean of Academic Operations Toni Thomas will address academic questions andAssociate Dean of Student Services Ashley Arrocha will also be present to answer questions regarding Student Services and campus life. Register for this session.

Monday, September 15th: Associate Dean of Student Services Ashley Arrocha, Assistant Director of International Student and Scholar Services Tabitha Fleming, Director of Student Financial Services Regina Garner, Associate Dean of Career and Academic Advising Gael Meraud and Associate Dean of Academic Operations Toni Thomas will all join us. Register for this session.
