MIIS Employee Central Resource Page and Updates
Dear MIIS Staff Colleagues,
As part of our commitment to keeping everyone informed and supported as we conclude programs at MIIS, we have created a new website that brings together resources and community messages—including those for students—in one central place. You can access it here. The Resources tab includes materials that have been shared or are available for reference. The Community Messages tab includes all related, previously sent emails. We will continue to add updates as new information and resources become available. A similar message will be shared with faculty to help ensure consistent communication.
In addition, I want to share responses to questions we’ve received from staff and have made decisions regarding, so that everyone has the same information:
- Can we keep our computers once we depart?
Unfortunately, no. Consistent with our institutional policy, laptops and peripherals need to be returned to the IT Helpdesk. We recognize this may feel disappointing, and we appreciate your understanding as we adhere to policy and ensure devices can be redeployed to others across the institution. - Will there be any changes to the Staff Development Fund or Continuing Education Fund offered to MIIS staff?
No, there will be no changes to these programs. MIIS staff are welcome and encouraged to continue applying through the usual guidelines and process. - Will there be any changes to tuition benefits that allow MIIS employees, after one year of service, to take one course at MIIS per semester at no cost?
Yes. We are expanding this benefit for employees currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program. The updated policy allows up to two classes per semester through June 2027 at no cost. This applies both while employed and, after employment ends, through June 2027. While employed, the benefit will continue to follow IRS rules as outlined in the policy; after employment ends, tuition will simply be at no cost. - What are the details about outplacement career support?
We are partnering with INTOO, a firm that will provide personalized career support for three months. Staff who have received notice of their positions ending in January 2026 have already received information about how to connect directly with this support.
We know this is a time of change, and we want to be sure you have clear information and support. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reply directly to this message—we’ll continue to gather and share answers broadly so that everyone has access to the same details.
Thank you for your continued patience and care for one another as we move through this process.
Thank you,
Caitlin Goss
