Hello, everyone! I’m Kate, and I use she/her pronouns. I was born and raised in New York before moving to Washington, D.C. where I attended The George Washington University for my undergraduate studies. After acquiring a bachelor’s degree in English and living in D.C. for five years, I moved to Burlington with my 11-year-old black lab to pursue a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at UVM. I’m in my second year of the program, which brought me to Middlebury College.

My perspective arises from intersectional feminist and narrative lenses, which means I’m interested in hearing and understanding the stories people tell about themselves and supporting people in exploring how our environments shape those stories. I’m committed to centering social justice in my work and holding space for people to show up exactly as they are.

Outside of work and school, I recharge by exploring new coffee shops and watching a silly show. Walking my dog, throwing toys for my cat, running on trails, and enjoying a meal with my partner bring me joy.
