Students, Winter 2022

Dear Students,

Happy New Year! We look forward to welcoming you back to campus this weekend. We’re writing with a reminder about important arrival processes and requirements. Please be sure that you review the arrival details message sent before the winter break. The entire message is important. Read it thoroughly.

Particularly critical and time-sensitive are the following instructions and requirements:

  1. Do not come to campus if you are experiencing any COVID-19-like symptoms, or if you have been exposed to someone who you know or believe has COVID-19, or if you have tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days prior to your arrival date. Instead, contact Health Services at healthservices@middlebury.edu or 802-443-3290 to make a plan.
  2. Obtain your negative prearrival PCR result from a test administered within three days of your arrival. Students who have tested positive for COVID-19 and recovered within 90 days of their arrival need to contact Health Services at 802-443-3290 or healthservices@middlebury.edu to be added to the testing exemption list.
  3. Book your arrival appointment HERE. Early arrivals to campus are not possible. All students are required to come to the arrival testing center in Virtue Field House as their first stop back on campus.

Finally, remember our COVID-19 booster requirement outlined in the December 22 January Term announcement message. Students who have already been boosted must upload their documentation to the student health portal in advance of arrival. Eligible students who have not been able to access a booster will have the opportunity to get a booster at the arrival center. Please note that supply may be limited, and all students are urged to fulfill this requirement before returning to campus.

Warmly,

Derek Doucet
