Ari is a seasoned designer and member of the digital group within the Office of Communications. He works closely with the director of digital services, the creative director, the marketing director, writers, and many others helping to design visual communications, digital design systems, and marketing efforts for websites, apps, email, and the occasional print piece. His efforts support Middlebury College and its graduate schools—from recruitment to alumni.

Since joining Middlebury in 2015, Ari has helped design projects including the development of the MiddSafe Online Advocate, the CCI website, Middlebury’s Script Lab, and Middlebury Magazine’s award-winning digital companion. He also plays a key role in redesigning Middlebury’s digital landscape across all of its entities.

After living in San Francisco for 18 years, Ari moved to Vermont to be closer to family. While in the Bay Area, he produced work for clients both big and small at top design consultancies, ad agencies, tech firms, and nonprofits, most notably, Landor Associates, Foote Cone and Belding (FCB), IDEO, and Salesforce, and has worked for clients such as the Waldorf Astoria Collection, Dockers, Motif Investing, and Covidien, to name a few. Ari has a BFA in photography and painting from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a BFA in graphic design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. His work has been recognized by Graphis, Books for a Better Life, and the University and College Designers Association (UCDA).

Along with his wife, son, and dog, Ari lives in Burlington where they love the snow, the water, and riding bikes and snowboards. And they love the change in seasons and everything Vermont has to offer.
