  • MiddMentors Orientation #2 (Thursday, October 2nd 2025, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT)

    When: Thursday, October 2nd 2025, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT Location: Axinn Center , 229, 15 Old Chapel Rd, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States  Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors who wish to receive a mentor for the 25-26 MiddMentors cycle must attend one Orientation session. This session will go over the program expectations, how it works, and how to make the most of your mentorship. If you cannot attend for any reason, you MUST reach out to program administrator Lindsey Baldwin at lbaldwin@middlebury.edu.   • Alumni Career Conversation: Government, Consulting, Law, Politics, and Teaching (Thursday, October 2nd 2025, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm EDT)

    When: Thursday, October 2nd 2025, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm EDT Location: McCullough - Student Center , Mitchell Green, 14 Old Chapel Rd, Middlebury, Vermont 05753, United States Join Aaron Mendelsohn ’95, for an informal group chat and Q&A about his career in federal and city government, law, politics, consulting, and teaching.  Aaron currently serves in the Executive Branch of New York City’s government as Deputy General Counsel for Policy & Compliance at the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), which manages the city’s workforce, procurement, real estate, fleet, and climate efforts.  He previously served in NYC’s Legislative Branch as Director of the City Council’s Oversight & Investigations Division.  Aaron grew up in Washington, DC, studied History and Art History at Midd, and went to law school at Northwestern University in Chicago.  Aaron clerked for a US District Court Judge after law school, then worked at law firms including WilmerHale in DC and Troutman Sanders in New York, before serving as a Federal Prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Offices for the District of Columbia and New Jersey, and as a Senior Counsel in the Enforcement Department at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority in New York.  He has also worked in the Fraud Risk & Compliance practices at EY and Accenture.  Aaron has served on several US presidential campaigns and in the White House, and he’s also currently an Adjunct Professor of Law, teaching Internal Investigations at Fordham University School of Law. He’s on campus to lead the Jewish High Holidays services at Midd for the 33rd consecutive year and is excited to share his time with us.
