Pavilion at the Knoll with New Perennials students sitting around

In 2018, the New Perennials project made its home at Middlebury College.

Along with our community and campus partners, we explore alternative practices in agriculture, education, the arts, health and wellness, and sacred-practice traditions that are in better harmony with the natural world. New Perennials offers courses, publications, and programming rooted in common sense, as a respite from an unraveling world, and with the energy and creativity to meet adversity with grace, justice, and gratitude.

Since 2018, New Perennials has:

  • Developed relationships with 35 community partners, practitioners, and organizations
  • Taught and learned from 250 students through our classes, programs, and internships
  • Published/produced 23 books, pamphlets, audio pamphlets, podcasts, and student work
  • Developed 3 courses to support the project
  • Received 20,000 visits/downloads to our website and publishing platform
