Admissions Office: Lara Soto Adobe
460 Pierce Street
Monterey, CA
United States

Our Admissions Office is located in the Lara Soto Adobe, which was built in the 1830s. Its most famous resident was John Steinbeck, who lived in Monterey during the 1940’s and drew inspiration from the city for his novels: Cannery Row and The Pearl. In 1976, the Monterey Institute of International Studies acquired the building and transformed the space into a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and students.
