Two alumni have written children’s books that address cultural differences and migration. Chinese School alumna Ann Katagiri’s Den Chan: The Cat Who Crossed the Ocean is written in English, Japanese, and Chinese to encourage young language learners. Meanwhile, Ryan Bani Tahmaseb, MA English ’15 tells the tale of Rostam, a boy from Iran who doesn’t want to stick out at school, in Rostam’s Picture-Day Pusteen.
