Attention Middlebury College students interested in pursuing a career in International Politics and Economics (IP&E) – mark your calendars! CCI and the IP&E department are excited to announce the upcoming International Politics and Economics Field Guide event, designed to provide valuable insights and networking opportunities for students interested in this dynamic major.

Scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 2024, and Friday, April 12, 2024, this two-day event is open to all students from all majors.

The event kicks off with an Alumni Career Panel on April 11th, where our alumni guests will share their personal career journeys, insights, and advice on navigating campus to career.

On April 12th, students will have the chance to participate in one-on-one chats with the featured alumni. These 20-minute chats allow for personalized conversations where students can seek advice, ask questions, and gain valuable mentorship from professionals who have successfully transitioned from campus to career.

Among the alumni guests are Philip Goldstein ‘14, Analyst with the U.S. Department of Defense; Ngor Luong ‘19, Senior Research Analyst with the Center for Security and Emerging Technology; Karina Toy ‘17, Principal at Kearney; Juliet Walsh ‘19, Legislative Assistant for U.S. Senator Peter Welch (Vt); and Xiaoxue ‘Xue’ Weng ‘10, PhD Candidate at the University of Freiburg.

Whether you’re interested in policy analysis, international relations, sustainable development, or global economics, this event offers something for everyone. It’s an invaluable opportunity to learn about an IP&E major, expand your network, and take the next steps toward achieving your career goals.
