MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — The Middlebury College Reuse Trailer will open Wednesday, June 15 at 8 a.m. at the college’s Recycling Center just west of campus on Route 125. The sale features items salvaged from remnants associated with the end of the year clean-out of residence halls and other campus buildings.

The kinds of items typically available at the sale include clothes, shoes, housewares, office supplies, carpets, furniture, and other miscellaneous items. The Reuse Trailer is open to Middlebury College Faculty, Staff, Students, and their families. Recycling staff members ask that family members be accompanied by their Middlebury College affiliate or carry a Middlebury ID.

Pricing in the Reuse Tralier is done by bag, which is provided for shoppers at the trailer. Small bags are $3.00, large bags are $7.00 and shoppers are encouraged to fill their bags with as much as they can hold. Larger items such as carpets, furniture, or refrigerators are priced individually. Taxes are included.

Due to the popularity of opening days, the following safety practices are enforced at the trailer: No children under 12 will be allowed; no pets; closed toed, sturdy footwear is required; occupancy of the trailers is limited and may require waiting in line.

Parking is available in the modular parking lot next to the Recyling Center. Look for the signs on Route 125. No parking will be allowed at the Recycling Center. All shoppers should bring a college ID to avoid being turned away at the door.
