MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Bill Waldron, professor of religion, and collaborators from the University of California-Davis and the Mangalam Research Center for Buddhist Languages, have received a grant from the John Templeton Foundation to support a project titled Putting the Buddhism/Science Dialogue on a New Footing.

The grant provides funding for a 10-day ‘brain-storming conference’ in Berkeley, CA, this summer with 20 leading neuroscientists, clinicians, philosophers and Buddhist scholars, and will take a ‘transdisciplinarity’ approach to the scientific study of meditation.
