Middlebury College Ranked Among Top 10 Small Colleges for Peace Corps Volunteers

Middlebury College has been recognized as one of the top volunteer-producing schools by the Peace Corps, earning the No. 10 spot in the Small College category on the agency’s prestigious 2025 Top Volunteer-Producing Colleges and Universities list.
This national recognition highlights Middlebury’s longstanding commitment to global citizenship, public service, and intercultural understanding. Since the Peace Corps’ founding in 1961, 467 Middlebury alumni have served as volunteers in more than 60 countries, helping to address critical challenges alongside communities around the world.
Currently, five Middlebury graduates are serving in five different countries: Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, and Tanzania. These volunteers are working in areas such as education, health, agriculture, youth development, and community economic development, directly contributing to the Peace Corps’ mission of promoting world peace and friendship.
