Kate Gross is a third year MSW student at Smith School for Social Work and has professional experience working in residential, community mental health, and inpatient hospital settings. She relies heavily on somatic and expressive therapy approaches in her work, including polyvagal theory and dance/movement therapy and is excited to continue learning about how poetry, dance, and drama therapy interventions can expand her clients’ experience of themselves and the world. Kate is a published writer and has been an artist (movement, music, and acting) for many years. She loves lakes, coffee, her dog Birdie, and reading for pleasure. She’s greatly looking forward to learning all she can during her experience this year at Middlebury.
