Dear Students,

We know that you are eager to learn more about this spring’s course offerings, so we have prepared a preliminary list of course names, section types, and anticipated modalities, organized by department and program. We also invite you to review a list of modality descriptions which will help you understand the course list.

Please make use of these tips as you browse the list:

  • Modalities that are available to all students, whether on-campus or remote, include “flexible online,” “scheduled online,” and “hyflex.”
  • Modalities that require some physical presence on campus include “blended” and “in-person.”
  • For many courses, you’ll want to find a lecture and a matching lab, drill or discussion that meets your needs.
  • For courses offered online through the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and the Middlebury Schools Abroad, check the “MIIS” and “MSAB” sections below. Many of these will also be cross-listed with College departments and programs.

Please note that the information contained in this list is preliminary and could change depending on circumstances. The final course schedule will be posted in time for advising in January.

Wishing you all the best as we approach the final weeks of the semester,

Suzanne Gurland
