Safety Measures and Exposure Control for Spring Semester
Dear Middlebury employees:
Thank you for all that you are doing to keep our campus safe. We know this has been a year of unprecedented challenges, and we hope that the finish line is truly in sight.
We are writing with a request that you review a few safety measures. COVID-19 case rates in Vermont and our region are rising, and we are concerned about new variants causing an outbreak. As the pandemic persists, all of us are experiencing fatigue. We must, however, continue doing our best to avoid transmission of COVID-19.
We have some simple requests to keep us on course to get through the semester without a major campus outbreak. They are as follows:
- Review your department exposure control plans.
- Continue to practice all of the important measures we must take to remain safe, including use of face coverings and staying more than six feet apart, especially during breaks or whenever consuming food or beverages.
- Remember that exposures off campus can have a dramatic impact on a residential campus, and continue to practice safe habits.
Thanks again for all that you are doing to keep our campus and community safe.
Sincerely,
The COVID Operations Team
