Spring Schools Abroad Update

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,
We are writing to share the disappointing news that we have decided to cancel several of our Schools Abroad this coming spring, including the Schools in Brazil, Cameroon, China, France, India, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Oxford, and Spain. We have informed students who were planning to participate in these programs and provided information about alternative options.
As always, our highest priority is the health, safety, and well-being of our students. These decisions were difficult, but necessary for several reasons, including lower enrollments during this difficult time and ongoing travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The current course of the pandemic in the world is our foremost concern, with cases on the rise in many of the countries where we operate, and no indication that those circumstances will change soon. These Schools have some of the earliest start dates in the spring, making it difficult to delay the decisions.
For now, our plan is to run the Schools in Argentina, Chile, Germany, Japan, Russia, and Uruguay. These Schools have later start dates in the spring, which affords us the opportunity to postpone a final decision. We will announce a decision regarding these programs sometime in mid-December. We will follow the same process and timeline with externally sponsored programs.
Thank you and be well,
Carlos Vélez
