Jeffrey Lewis, Host

Dr. Jeffrey Lewis holds a dual appointment as a professor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and the director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. He has previously directed research programs at the New America Foundation and the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University. He is the author of three books, including a novel, The 2020 Commission. He has a PhD in policy studies from University of Maryland, College Park.

He is a regular columnist for Foreign Policy and has published articles in Foreign Affairs, the Washington Post, and the New York Times. He is the founder of ArmsControlWonk.com, the leading blog and podcast on disarmament, arms control, and nonproliferation. He tweets @ArmsControlWonk

Juliette Luini, Producer

Juliette Luini is a freelance audio producer enjoying 300 days of sunshine in Boulder, Colorado. She is the assistant producer/editor at House of Pod, Colorado’s first podcast incubation hub. Her work lies at the intersection of documentary, narrative journalism, and oral storytelling. She is a recent graduate of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies and Middlebury College. 

Julia Barton, Editorial Advisor 

Julia Barton is a longtime broadcast and podcast editor. She is the executive editor at Pushkin Industries, where she works on Revisionist History as well as other projects. Julia has reported and produced stories for Radiolab, 99% Invisible, PRI’s The World, and BBC Radio 4, and with Falling Tree Productions. Julia is also the cohost of Spacebridge, a four-part series about the late Cold War in the Radiotopia Showcase feed.

Ellie Barney ’21 is a student at Middlebury College who has focused her studies on public policy and podcast production. She is interested in the intersection between politics and media and using narrative news as a way to tell these stories.

Erin Davis is an award-winning podcast producer, documentary filmmaker, and instructor at Middlebury College. A graduate of The New School and the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, she lives and works in Vermont.
