    The First Show is a special production of the Middlebury Theatre Department – a chance for students who haven’t yet been on a Midd stage to take a shot at acting. This show is for those brave, bold souls who want to get up there and try something.

    This “set list” of scenes focuses on Love – and the clunky baggage that inevitably accompanies it. Love is fickle. It’s weird. It’s the best. It drives every meaningful interaction we have in this life. So, let’s take a good look at it. MWUAH.

    “The Narratives of Nature” a Howard E. Woodin Environmental Studies Colloquium Series talk by Bira Vanara, a Mixed Media Artist. 

    For our entire known history, humans as a species have told stories about how we and nature came to be, and why things happen as they do. This discourse will explore how story still determines the way we perceive our relationship to the natural world through the narrative lens.

    Inspired by the popular storytelling phenomenon The Moth, Cocoon is a special evening of true stories, told live, no notes. This year’s storytellers will include students, faculty/staff, and community members.
