The Obie Award-winning theatre/media company Waterwell presents The Ford/Hill Project, a powerful and timely production tackling power, politics, and gender. 30 years apart, Anita Hill and Christine Blasey Ford provoked a reckoning about who is given the power to shape the future of our country by telling the story of one of the most private moments of their lives in one of the most public settings imaginable: the confirmation hearings of Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh, respectively.

Families and visitors ages 5 and up are invited to enjoy a variety of free activities, including sketching and hands-on art making inspired by works from the Museum’s collection. Stop by the MAC Lobby to create your own artwork, play family-friendly art-themed BINGO, and participate in guided gallery drawing experiences.
Student tour guides will be stationed throughout the galleries, ready to share insights, answer questions, and chat about their favorite works in the collection.

In this lecture, Dr. Jeffrey Katzin of the Akron Art Museum will share insights gained from his experience curating the exhibition Michelangelo Lovelace: Art Saved My Life, which debuted in Akron and is now on view at the Middlebury College Museum of Art. Katzin will discuss Lovelace’s intensively dedicated fusion of art and life, his simplified but powerful style, and his resonant approaches to politics and Black identity.
