  • Overview of a Technical Interview for Software Engineering Roles

    Anna Parker ‘18, Software Engineer with Google, will provide an overview of what’s involved in a “standard” technical interview, what the interviewer is trying to determine, a couple of example problems, and a brief discussion on resources to use to practice, e.g., Leetcode. Students are encouraged to ask questions. This program is an excellent precursor to the Summer ‘22 Technical Interview Practice Program organized by CCI.

    WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE that beginning April 15, 2022 the museum will be open to all visitors, no reservations required. Hours for the spring are listed below. In accordance with current Middlebury College guidelines, masks are optional but encouraged.

    For those who are not able to visit us in person, we invite you to connect with art remotely by browsing our collections database, enjoying our virtual engagement page, reading our blog, and interacting with us @middartmuseum via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

    AFC and CCSRE invites BIPOC student, faculty, and staff to a “Home-Cooked” Community Lunch on at the AFC (Carr Hall). All are welcome to join us to connect and recharge before the final push to make it through the academic year! On the Menu: Ropa Vieja (beef), Jerk Chicken or Caribbean Curry Chana (chickpeas) on buns with sides of White Rice, Black Beans, Fried Plantains, and Cucumber Sweet Salad.   • Inauguration of Shahzia Sikander’s mosaic, The Perennial Gaze (2018)

    Shahzia Sikander, the Pakistani-born internationally acclaimed artist who now resides in New York City, will join in a conversation about the meanings and context of Sikander‘s newly installed glass mosaic. Perennial Gaze is the newest addition to Middlebury College’s renowned Public Art Collection.   A reception will follow the talk. FREE

    Michal Strier, a Hebrew Professor from the Middlebury School of Hebrew, is offering an engaging and fun way to experience Israeli culture and live it! Each week is something new and different including making art and learning calligraphy, watching Israeli films and shows, listening to Israeli music, meeting interesting people from various sectors in Israel, and cooking and eating lots of Israeli foods. Join us to experience a unique melting pot culture that combines European, North African, Arab, and other influences.

  • Collaborative Arts for Mental Health Awareness: Workshop

    Mindful Playfulness
    This one-hour movement workshop focuses on making “downtime” nourishing by practicing peaceful and playful awareness. Using Mary Overlie’s Viewpoints, a dance and theatre practice, we’ll explore our relationship to the present moment and its potential. Dress comfortably to move, and bring something to write with (crayons, colored pencils or markers, etc., welcome).
