  • Anti-Procrastination Station in the CTLR

    If you are feeling overwhelmed with work and struggling with procrastination then visit the Anti-Procrastination Station in the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Research (CTLR) in LIB 225 on Mondays and Fridays.

    Learning Resources’ ACE tutors will be running the station to coach on getting unstuck and give out rewards.

    Mondays: 10:00 am-noon, 4:00-6:00 pm, and 7:45-9:45 pm | Fridays: 3:00-5:00 pm

    Trapped: High Inequality and Low Growth in Latin America and the Caribbean

    The Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs Program on Global Economics presents, “Trapped: High Inequality and Low Growth in Latin America and the Caribbean” by Marcela Meléndez, UNDP chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean.

    The Latin America and Caribbean region was in a high-inequality low-growth trap before the outset of the Covid-19 pandemic. This starting point explains much of the challenges LAC countries faced in the last two years and will continue to define the region’s future unless quick actions in the right direction are undertaken.

    Workshop with Christopher Schaberg: Writing for Public Audiences, with Students

    In this hour-long session, Christopher Schaberg will share some of his experiences with students focusing on collaborative public-facing writing, and getting this sort of work published. Schaberg will offer insights and guidance for instructors who want to experiment with this type of work, including styles the writing can take and outlets where such pieces can be pitched.

    Michal Strier, a Hebrew Professor from the Midd School of Hebrew, is offering a low-key way to get some Hebrew into your lives. It is a Hebrew group for people to start learning Hebrew informally at any level - from learning to read Hebrew text to casual conversation skills. All levels are welcome!
