  • MCMT Spring Musical Audition Information Session

    The Middlebury College Musical Theatre club will be hosting auditions for our Spring Musical on Sunday, November 21st from 10am–12pm and Monday, November 22nd from 7–9pm. At the meeting, interested students can meet the director to learn what the show will be and how to audition. Bring sheet music and we’ll help you decide on a cut! If you do not know what to sing, we’ll help you find a song.

  • Stories from the 2020-21 year-long Israeli civil protest

    In the summer of 2020, a civil protest broke out in Israel. For a year, demonstrations took place every week throughout the country, attended cumulatively by a million citizens from a wide range of backgrounds, sectors and ages.

    Or-ly Barlev, a famous independent Israeli journalist and activist, who covered the protest with ongoing live broadcasts, will talk about the protest of 2020-21 through the personal lens of local participants. The lecture will take place through Zoom and will be in English.

  • Gidion's Knot

    Over the course of a parent-teacher conference, a grieving mother and an emotionally unsteady elementary school teacher have a volatile interaction about the tragic suicide of the mother’s son, Gidion. As his story is slowly uncovered, the women deal with feelings of guilt and shock, culminating in a conclusion that neither want to face.

    This project is the final performance of Ryan Kirby’s 500 Independent Project in Directing. Performed by Peyton Mader ‘24 and Sara Massey ‘23. Directed by Ryan Kirby ‘22. Tickets available at the box office or at go/knot.

  • "Paris is Burning" film screening

    Paris is Burning (Jennie Livingston, USA, 1990, 71 mins) chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it. Critics consider the film to be an invaluable documentary of the end of the “Golden Age” of New York City drag balls, and a thoughtful exploration of race, class, gender, and sexuality in America.
