  • Breadloaf - Reading Day Away Event

    Get off campus for a day of studying, support, and guided breaks! Come up to Breadloaf to enjoy a calming environment, a free catered lunch, and guided study breaks on the hour. Bring your work and study in community in the dining hall or find a cozy nook elsewhere on the grounds. Staff will be leading activities such as walks, hikes, meditations for focus and confidence, and arts and crafts. Therapy dogs will be there for petting, and much more will be announced every hour so you can take a break if you need!

  • Weekly Politics Luncheon

    Students and the public are invited to attend this weekly nonpartisan discussion of recent political events, hosted by Professor Matthew Dickinson. Held on most Tuesdays from 12:30-1:20 pm EST. Check the calendar for dates. No expertise assumed. All viewpoints welcome.

    This is both an in-person and a virtual event. To register to attend via Zoom, please contact Prof. Dickinson.

    Join Spiritual and Religious Life Dean Mark R. Orten for 20 minutes of quiet contemplation with reading and music for our times. Intentional silence and guided meditation will be interspersed with music and readings from secular worldviews and sacred traditions to open our awareness and to find strength and perspective for living during personal, political, racial, ecological and other upheavals.
