29th Annual First Show: Echoes of Truth
The newly devised theater production, titled “Echoes of Truth,” embarks on a profound exploration of the intricate relationship between truth and humanity. Through a series of interconnected scenes, the performance weaves together diverse narratives that challenge perceptions and provoke introspection. Each vignette presents a unique lens on truth—be it personal, societal, or existential—inviting the audience to witness the conflicting realities of its characters.

BALA BILA
BALA BILA brings together two African master musicians—Balla Kouyate on balafon, calabash, bass guitar, and voice, and Matchume Zango on timbila, mbira, percussion, and voice—in an intimate, living-room style concert and intercultural musical conversation between two extraordinary artists. Kouyate hails from the West African country of Mali, and Zango calls the East African nation of Mozambique home. They are leading exponents of their respective principal instruments, BALAfon and timBILA—two world heritage instruments that will be played together in harmony.

BALA BILA's Bucket Band Workshop
Balla Kouyate and Matchume Zango will introduce you to the rhythm and culture of their respective African traditions. You’ll have a chance to learn some of these rhythms and play them on five-gallon buckets! No experience needed. Ear protection recommended/provided.
Registration will be open to Middlebury College students only until 09/25, then any remaining spots opened to the Middlebury Community Music Center and general community.

Join us at the Middlebury Snowbowl for a breathtaking journey through Vermont’s most stunning autumn scenery! Our Fall Foliage Lift Rides offer a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant colors of fall from one of the best vantage points in the state. Lift rides are free for children five and under, $10.00 for juniors aged 6-17, and $15.00 for adults 18 and older.
