Middlebury’s literary quarterly, New England Review, is pleased to present a reading with alumni writers across a range of class years and genres. Susan Fritsch Hunter ’71, Jeneva Burroughs Stone ’86, Katherine Ferrier ’91, Jeffrey T. Price ’01, Emily K. Set in Vermont and filmed over six years, Traces of Time follows the final chapter in the life of filmmaker Sim Hutner’s mother with striking intimacy and restraint. The film won the Shouldice Family Prize for Best Vermont-Made Film at the 2025 Middlebury new Filmmakers Festival.

Celebrate James Beard Award winners Rob and Robynne and their impact on American food and drink. Rob’s founding of Allagash Brewing Company helped ignite the craft brewing revolution, while Robynne’s restaurants, Fête and Mille Fête, honor Native Hawaiian cuisine through tradition and reinvention. Hear their stories and enjoy a mini pairing of Allagash beer alongside a taste of a Vermont-inspired dish from Chef Robynne, infused with Hawaiian flair and created especially for Reunion 2026.

One of the highlights of the weekend! Listen to George Matthews, Jr., play the carillon as the classes march in reverse order up the hill to the chapel, beginning with the Class of 2021. Members of the Classes of 1951 through 2021 by 4:00 p.m. on Old Chapel lawn, next to their reunion year class banners. For those who cannot or do not want to walk in the parade, please join your class at the chapel steps.

Mingle with friends old and new on Battell Beach and grab a drink or a bite to eat before or after your class’s scheduled dinner. Enjoy tacos from Las Hermosas and pizza from American Flatbread’s mobile oven, as well as a bar with beer, wine, cider, and non-alcoholic options. Please remember to wear your lanyard, and be prepared to show ID at the bar.
