Led by Dean of Spiritual & Religious Life, Mark Orten, quiet time for ourselves and one another is held with deep care and gratitude.   • "Bending the Biotechnological Arc Back Toward Justice: A Critique of Rhetorics of Scientific Progress”

    This talk by Emma McDonald Kennedy, Ph.D (Assistant Professor of Christian Ethics at Villanova University) considers the history of the eugenics movement and its links to contemporary biotechnological innovation. With resources from Christian ethics, reproductive justice, and disability rights, this talk will sketch a more inclusive vision of social progress and argue for regulation and public consultation in biomedical research.

This special evening will feature a dynamic mix of performances, including a Newcomers Piece led by faculty member Kari Borni, showcasing individuals who have never performed in our department before. Witness new and original works, celebrate the power of movement, and connect with our vibrant dance community.

    The Virtuous Fall of the Girls from Our Lady of Sorrows

    A play by Gina Femia. Directed by Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre, Sheila Bandyopadhyay.

    The Virtuous Fall of the Girls from Our Lady of Sorrows, is an exploration of teenage revolution in the face of petty authoritarianism. Set in a Catholic girls’ school, the play recounts the ripple effects caused by one student’s decision to produce M4M2, a controversial sequel to Measure for Measure.
