Timothy Frye ’86 is the Marshall D. Shulman Professor of Post-Soviet Foreign Policy at Columbia University. Professor Frye received a BA in Russian language and literature from Middlebury College, an MIA from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a PhD in political science from Columbia. His research and teaching interests are in comparative politics and political economy with a focus on the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
William Pyle is the Frederick C. Dirks Professor of International Economics at Middlebury College and an affiliate of the programs in International Politics and Economics and Russian and East European Studies. He has a B.A. in History from Harvard College (magna cum laude), an M.A. in Russian and East European Studies from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. from Duke University in Economics.
