Come by to listen to panelists Anthony Rogers Wright (Policy and Organizing Director, Environmental Action), Nicholas Reo (Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies and Native American Studies, Dartmouth College), Gina Cosentino (Social Development Specialist, World Bank), and Erica Morrell (Mellon C3 Postdoctoral Fellow in Sociology, Middlebury College) speak on climate justice and current affairs.

"Popular Cinema/Quality Television: A New Paradigm for the Mexican Mediascape.”

Paul Julian Smith, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literatures and Languages at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, will continue a line of inquiry developed in his recent book Mexican Screen Fiction by discussing the intersection of popular cinema and “quality” television in contemporary Mexico.

Zero Energy School Design Presentation

The students in Zero Energy School Design will be presenting the results of their winter term effort to design a Zero Energy Elementary School in Middlebury, VT. We will present floor plans and site drawings as well as renderings and any of our programmatic ideas. We will discuss how the building ties in with the community and why Zero Energy is an important design goal. We will be entering our design in the Department of Energy’s Race to Zero student design competition.

The Prince and the Provincial: How President John Kennedy and Speaker John McCormack Shaped American Politics

Garrison Nelson is a retired Elliott A. Brown Green and Gold Professor of Law, Politics and Political Behavior from the University of Vermont. He is the author of more than 150 articles and professional papers on national politics with a major focus on the U.S. Congress and elections in Vermont and is a regular media commentator on those topics. His most recent book is a biography of Speaker John McCormack.
