Middlebury Chapel

The Princeton Katzenjammers make their way to Middlebury College to showcase their co-ed a Capella music! With sets from on-campus groups the Mischords and the Dissipated Eight, this show has something for everyone! 

Carillonneurs of the Wellesley College Guild will perform a variety of classical and contemporary music. The carillon is best enjoyed from the lawns surrounding the chapel.

Each of Middlebury’s six a cappella groups will perform a song to welcome the incoming class and take audition sign-ups! Brought to you by The Mamajamas, The Mischords, The Dissipated Eight, Stuck in the Middle, The Bobolinks, and The Paradiddles. EVENT PHOTO

Two services, at 4:00 and 7:00 pm. Donations will be accepted for local charities.

Please join in watching this traditional fall ceremony where the President of the College addresses the incoming students, describes the opportunities at the College, and encourages them to take full advantage of everything a Middlebury education has to offer. One of the world’s finest chamber ensembles, nine-time Grammy winners, and longtime friends of our Performing Arts Series, the Emerson String Quartet visits our campus on their farewell tour. In this, their 33^rd and final Middlebury appearance, they play quartets by Shostakovich and Ravel, Walker’s Lyric for Strings, and our Music Accord co-commission Drink the Wild Ayre by Sarah Kirkland Snider.
