Commemoration of the Montreal Massacre

On Friday, December 6th at 12:15 PM, the workers at the Feminist Resource Center at Chellis House will be honoring the lives of the women murdered at the Montreal Ecole Polytechnique, an event otherwise known as the Montreal Massacre, which took place on December 5, 1989. This commemoration is part of the 16 Days Campaign to End Gender Violence whose theme in 2019 is “A World of Work Without Violence is Possible.” We will watch “Reframing the Montreal Massacre,” a feminist-focused documentary that analyzes the media representations of the massacre. Discussion to follow the event.
