Dancing in a Minefield: Cartoons, Politics, and Satire in a Crazy World

Kal Kallaugher, international award-winning cartoonist of The Economist, gives a lively and entertaining illustrated presentation about his 38-year career. He discusses his unique, challenging, and now dangerous profession—and his 8,000 barbed commentaries—engaging readers and enraging leaders around the globe. He caps off the presentation with a live drawing of his favorite targets and a surprise for the audience: their own original cartoons to take home. “Following the Ninth: In the Footsteps of Beethoven’s Final Symphony,” Film Screening

The Language Schools will present the Vermont film premiere of this documentary film, which takes a cinematic journey across five continents and into the heart and soul of one of the greatest works of art. The film will be introduced by its producer/director, Kerry Candaele.
